I'm Sarah, a primary teacher with over 20 years' experience. I offer calm, personalised 1-to-1 sessions for children aged 5–11, with specialist support for those with SEND and anxiety around learning.
I believe every child is capable. They just need the right support, at the right pace, from someone who truly cares.
I begin gently, taking time to understand your child, what they enjoy, what feels difficult, and what helps them feel settled and ready to learn.
Sessions take place in my home in Wickham: a nurturing, inclusive environment where children feel safe to make mistakes and grow at their own pace.
As well as academic progress, I help children believe in themselves, a skill they'll carry for life.
I keep communication open and honest. You'll always know how your child is doing and what I'm working on together.
As a former SENDCo and Inclusion Lead, I have deep, hands-on experience supporting children who feel anxious, overwhelmed or disconnected from learning.
I adapt my approach to suit how your child learns best: visual, kinaesthetic, multi-sensory. Whatever works for them is what I use.
I never rush and never compare. Every small step forward matters, and I make sure every child knows just how far they've come.
Where helpful, I can work alongside schools, SENCO teams or existing EHCP plans so support feels joined up.
With a background as a SENDCo and Inclusion Lead, I support children who need calm, thoughtful learning support, including:
Calm, flexible primary learning support for home educated children who need confidence, structure and a pace that works for them.
Number, times tables, fractions, problem solving and more, making maths feel manageable.
Developing fluency, comprehension and a genuine love of reading.
Creative writing, grammar, punctuation and spelling in a fun, positive way.
I'm Sarah, and I've spent over 20 years in primary education as a classroom teacher, SENDCo, Inclusion Lead, Senior Leader and Safeguarding Lead. I'm also a mother of two primary-aged children, so I understand learning from both sides: as a teacher and leader within school, and as a parent supporting children day to day.
My approach is calm, supportive and entirely tailored to your child's individual needs. I'm passionate about building long-term confidence and a genuine love of learning, not just results on a page.
Sessions take place in my home in Wickham, a nurturing and welcoming space. I also offer online sessions for families who need flexibility.
Navigating the SEND system can feel overwhelming. I provide clear, compassionate and practical guidance to help you advocate for your child with confidence.
Whether you are liaising with schools, communicating with SEN caseworkers, or exploring your child’s rights, I can help you understand the process and feel clearer about the next step.
This is a separate family support offer for parents who need calm, practical guidance around EHCPs, reviews, school conversations and the wider SEN system.
Guidance with parental requests and support reviewing existing plans, so you can clearly understand what is included and what may need strengthening.

“Sarah has been absolutely fantastic supporting my daughter through her exams, particularly with maths. Before starting she was nervous and overwhelmed and lacked confidence. Sarah was patient, encouraging and explained things in a way that really built her confidence and understanding. We have seen a positive change and she now feels much more confident and willing to tackle questions. I would highly recommend Sarah for anyone looking for a supportive and effective tutor.”
